MY WALKING WORLD - CADAIR IDRIS |
| 21/01/06 This as a walk from the guidebook The Mountains of England and Wales - Volume 1 Wales by John and Anne Nuttall. The weather was excellent considering it was January, it was a 10 mile circular walk climbing the summits of Craig Cwm Amarch, Cyfrwy, Cadair Idris, Mynydd Moel and Gau Graig with 3400 ft of ascent. The walk commenced from Minfford. | |

| Looking across from Cyfrwy to the summit of Tyrrau Mawr where I will be the next day |
| Cloud rolling in - very impressive, it did not stay long |
| Looking back along the ridge to Cadair Idris |
| Down in the valley on the way back to the start point I passed this enormous boulder beside the track with a six inch vein running through it. The forces of nature must have been very powerful all those years ago |
