MY WALKING WORLD  David Preston

A weekend in the Lake District with 40sWalkerNorth - 06/02/09

Each year the walking club 40sWalkersNorth hold a walking weekend based at the Glaramara Centre in Borrowdale. Around fifty members meet up for what is usually one of the main highlights of the year. We normally have superb weather and 2009 was no exception. On Friday 06/02/09 twelve members met up near Mungrisdale for a winters walk over Souther Fell then up to Bannerdale Craggs and over Bowscale Fell and back down to Mungrisdale for a well earned drink at the Mill Inn. Over the weekend there are a variety of walks arranged to suit everyone. A thoroughly enjoyable weekend with excellent food, good company and comfortable accommodation at the Glaramara Outdoor Centre at Seatoller in Borrowdale
