I'm David
Preston and I live in Macclesfield, Cheshire. I love mountains and
wild places where I can explore and experience the beauty of this
wonderful world of ours. I had my 65th birthday last October, a pretty
important stage in life. I am still carrying on working at the moment
so it us very important to make each weekend count. Last year was
pretty good with some great walks, especially my Backpack from Corrour to Fort William and in July my week in the Alps. In September
I completed the 2000ft summits of Wales as described in the Nuttalls
Guide book " During January 2008 I had a great holiday in Zermatt
with my partner Christine followed by several good weekends in the
Lake District with the Walking Club 40sWalkersNorth and excellent
Internet based Walking Club - In April I completed a walk across the
Knoydart in Scotland which was certainly one of the highlights of my
year. In June I had several good walks while on holiday in Spain and
now summer is here its time to get out and climb some hills |
