Loch Lomond Weekend

Friday 28/05/04- An early start from Macclesfield at 0500hrs and by 0930hrs I was in Inverbeig on the shores of Loch Lomond, the weather was fine and I waited for the small ferry to arrive at 1030 to take me across Loch Lomond to Rowarden  ( fare £6.00 return)

I climbed Ben Lomond  and after lunch on the summit I returned by way of the Ptarmigan Ridge, after leaving the summit there were several wintry showers and the temperature dropped quite a lot, there was sunshine down on the Loch and I had to put on hat and gloves to keep warm
