| 16/11/03 The Nantlle Ridge - Snowdonia - Weather - Sunny in the valleys, low cloud and mist on the tops - 13 miles | ||||
|
This was a superb walk and it was one I
had been looking forward to for a long time, after parking at Rhyd -Ddu I
set off for the first peak - Y Garn and reached the summit in just over an
hour, the weather closed in and I could see very little of the expected
views after that, it was a superb ridge walk which covered 6 peaks -
Y Garn, Myndd Drws-y- coed, Trum y Ddysgl, Myndd Tal-y-mignedd, Craig Cym Silyn, Garnedd -goch After the last peak I walked down the hillside to Lynn Nantlle Uchaf and then across the fields and finally along the road back to the car park- A great walk that must be repeated in good weather |

Looking back across the crags of Craig Cwm Silyn as I decended from Garnedd
Goch As I walked down the hillside the cloud was spilling over the edge - spectacular |

| I found this an easier ridge walk than Crib Goch and although the there were many sheer drops on both sides I was able to follow the ridge safely by keeping away from the edge - Just a pity about the lack of views | ||||
