Getting closer and there is a large party in front of me. Once on that slope care is required due to loose stones and boulders

On the Fenetre d ' Arpette, quite a crowd up here having lunch but what a viewpoint

Nearly at Le Brevente

Les Houches Railway Station - the end of the walk, it all started here last year when I commenced the first part of the walk to Courmayeur. Those four days were a a great start to Alpine walking for a beginner. This years walk which started in Courmayeur was a wonderful experience and when I look back I find it hard to believe what I had done.

There was a lot of planning involved and I enjoyed every minute of the whole experience, I met lots of nice people from many different countries, I stayed in hotels and refuges in three different countries and the whole holiday was remarkably easy. Anyone can do it - the only problem now is what to do next year
